Our Buffalo towing service reviews actual vehicle weight, dimensions, cargo, condition and safe access before accepting a request. Nothing over 9,000 pounds is accepted, and being within the weight range does not automatically confirm eligibility.

Commercial and Work Truck Towing in Buffalo
Businesses, contractors, delivery drivers and commercial vehicle owners may request towing for eligible vehicles that cannot be driven safely or need an approved scheduled move.
Buffalo towing requests may involve a disabled work van, service truck, delivery vehicle or qualifying pickup at a home, workplace, job site, customer location or automotive facility.
Dispatch considers availability, route, weather, vehicle condition, loading requirements and safe truck access. Requests may be submitted day or night; immediate dispatch and a fixed arrival time are not guaranteed.
Work Vans, Cargo Vans and Delivery Van Towing
Eligible commercial vans may be transported to an approved repair shop, dealership, fleet facility or another destination within the operating area.
- Passenger and commercial vans.
- Work vans and cargo vans.
- Delivery and service vans.
- Contractor and maintenance vans.
Provide the year, make, model, body configuration and current load. Tools, shelving, cargo and installed equipment increase actual weight. An empty curb-weight figure alone does not establish towing eligibility.
Pickup Truck and Work Truck Towing
Certain Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra and Ram configurations may qualify. A model name alone does not confirm acceptance: cab style, bed length, drivetrain, service body, modifications and cargo affect size and weight.
- Eligible contractor pickups.
- Service-body trucks when safely serviceable.
- Utility and maintenance pickups.
- Landscaping work trucks within approved limits.
- Qualifying commercial fleet pickups.
Provide the exact configuration and describe installed equipment before requesting dispatch.
Small Box Truck and Service Vehicle Towing
Some small box trucks, service trucks and utility vehicles may qualify when actual weight, dimensions, wheelbase and condition fit the towing equipment.
- Small local delivery box trucks.
- Light commercial service vehicles.
- Maintenance and repair vehicles.
- Qualifying local delivery fleet vehicles.
- Small commercial vehicles needing repair-shop transport.
Report box height, overall length, installed equipment, inventory and cargo. Oversized, heavily loaded or heavy-recovery vehicles are not accepted.
Vehicle Weight and Eligibility Requirements
Medium-duty towing is limited to qualifying vehicles from 6,000 through 9,000 pounds. Nothing over 9,000 pounds is accepted. Weight is one part of the assessment; dimensions, condition and equipment compatibility also matter.
- Vehicle year, make and model.
- Gross vehicle weight rating when available.
- Estimated actual loaded weight.
- Cab, bed and body configuration.
- Wheelbase, overall length, height and clearance.
- Drivetrain and transmission condition.
- Whether the vehicle rolls, steers and brakes.
- Whether it shifts into neutral.
- Wheel, axle, suspension or accident damage.
- Tools, cargo and equipment currently carried.
- Pickup access and requested destination.
Photos of the vehicle, manufacturer weight label or registration information may be requested. The gross vehicle weight rating is a rating; it does not by itself establish actual loaded weight.
Commercial Breakdown Towing
Eligible commercial vehicles may need towing after mechanical or electrical problems prevent safe driving.
- Vehicle will not start or remain running.
- Engine overheating or transmission failure.
- Charging-system or electrical failure.
- Steering or suspension problems.
- Damaged wheel, tire, axle or driveline components.
- Fuel-system failure.
- Other conditions that prevent safe operation.
Provide the symptoms and current condition. An eligible vehicle may be delivered to an approved repair shop, dealership, commercial service center or fleet facility.
Accident-Damaged Commercial Vehicle Transport
Damaged work vehicles require assessment of wheels, steering, suspension, body panels and cargo before loading. Report locked or missing wheels, fluid leaks and unsecured tools or cargo.
Accident towing requires any necessary scene release and safe access. Photographs may be requested before acceptance. See our accident towing page.
Flatbed and Wheel-Lift Equipment
Our primary truck is a 2023 Hino L6 with a Century 12 flatbed and wheel-lift. The appropriate method depends on manufacturer requirements, drivetrain, weight, dimensions, clearance, damage and safe loading access. Dollies may be used when appropriate.
Equipment capacity does not mean every commercial vehicle can be accepted. Each request requires a vehicle and access review. Read more about flatbed and wheel-lift towing.
Fleet Towing for Local Businesses
Eligible fleet vehicles may be accepted on an individual-job basis for contractors, delivery companies, property-maintenance businesses, landscaping companies, plumbing, electrical and HVAC businesses, mobile service providers and automotive facilities.
Repeat towing and scheduled vehicle transfers remain subject to availability and eligibility. See our commercial repair shop and dealer towing page.
Repair Shop and Commercial Service Center Delivery
Confirm that your selected facility services the vehicle type and accepts its size and weight before dispatch.
For after-hours delivery, confirm parking, gate access and approved key-drop instructions. Destination access and safe unloading must be approved. View overnight towing information.
