How Towing Mileage Is Calculated
Loaded Mileage
Loaded mileage is the distance traveled while carrying or towing the customer’s vehicle from the pickup location to the destination.
Enroute Mileage
Enroute mileage is the distance traveled from dispatch to the customer’s pickup location. The first 12 enroute miles are included.
What Can Change the Final Price?
- Incorrect pickup or destination information
- Actual mileage differing from the entered route
- Vehicle size or weight differing from the information provided
- Vehicle unable to roll, steer, brake or enter neutral
- Accident, wheel, steering or suspension damage
- Garage, gate, parking-lot or property access limitations

Local light-duty towing currently starts at $125 and includes the first five loaded miles. Loaded mileage after five miles is currently $4 per mile.
How much does long-distance towing cost?
Long-distance towing currently starts at $200 and includes the first five loaded miles. Service is limited to approved destinations within New York State.
How much does accident towing cost?
Accident towing currently starts at $175. Additional approved charges may apply for difficult access, recovery requirements or damaged-vehicle loading.
How much does medium-duty towing cost?
Medium-duty towing currently starts at $250 for qualifying vehicles generally under approximately 9,000 pounds.
How much is roadside assistance?
Light-duty roadside assistance currently starts at $80. Medium and heavy roadside assistance currently starts at $150 for qualifying services.
Is the first five loaded miles included?
Yes. Local towing, long-distance towing, accident towing and medium-duty towing currently include the first five loaded miles.
Is there a cash discount?
Qualifying cash payments may receive a 5% discount. Card authorization may still be required before dispatch.
